Paige s acrobatic, double-clutch shot sent the cheering North Carolina fans through the roof. But Jenkins counter stroke with overtime looming sent Villanova fans into the stratosphere. The win was Villanova s second championship in program history. The first came in 1985. Rollie Massimino, coach of the 85 team, was in the stands to witness the miracle finish.
